Data & Security
Assessment data is about people. We handle it that way.
This page sets out, plainly, what employee data Eduserge uses, what it is used for, who owns it and how it is protected. If a question is not answered here, ask us before you sign up.
What we use
Four kinds of employee data, each with a defined purpose.
Data
How it is used
What it is never used for
Assessment results
To set the current level of each skill on a gap map and to close skills as evidence arrives.
Never shown to peers, never used to rank people outside the scope HR defines.
Role history
To understand which skills a person has likely built in past roles and internal moves.
Not used to infer anything beyond skills, such as performance or flight risk.
Training progress
To adapt paths, project dates and show managers what has moved.
Time spent in training never raises a readiness score on its own.
Manager observations
As evidence for skills that are demonstrated in real work, with the reason recorded.
Never applied without a named manager and a written note.
Ownership
Your organization's training and assessment data stays yours.
You own the data
All role definitions, assessments, evidence and scores belong to your organization. We process them only to provide the service.
No cross-customer training
Your data is never used to train or improve models used by other customers.
Export any time
Administrators can export role libraries, gap maps, paths and evidence records in standard formats.
Deletion on request
When you leave, or when you ask, your workspace data is deleted from active systems, with backups expiring on a fixed schedule.
Protection
Encryption and access control, stated plainly.
Encrypted in transit
All traffic uses TLS 1.2 or higher.
Encrypted at rest
Databases and file storage use AES-256 encryption.
Role-based access
Managers see their own reports. HR and L&D see what your policy grants. Nobody sees everything by default.
Audit trail
Changes to levels, scores and access are logged with who, when and why.
Readiness scores are decision support only.
Eduserge never makes promotion, role-assignment or employment decisions. Scores inform conversations between managers, HR and employees. Every score can be explained line by line, and managers can add observations that adjust it, with the reason recorded. Promotion and role decisions remain with your managers and HR.
